The "Koyasan University and Fujikin Shuhei Ogawa Memorial Lecture" was held at the Osaka City Central Public Hall. The topic was "A discussion between religion and science: The desire for the providence of the universe." Lectures were given by Tetsuo Yamaori, Emeritus Professor at the International Research Center for Japanese Studie; Professor Masayuki Wakui, Landscape architect and President of Gifu Academy of Forest Science and Culture; and his Eminence Yukei Matsunaga, former Superintendent Priest of Koyasan Shingon-shu.
