Date of Enactment: July 2026
Masahiro Nakamura
Executive Managing Director / General Manager of Manufacturing Division, Fujikin Incorporated
In order to contribute to the development of society, the Fujikin Carp Group is committed to complying with laws, social norms, and the RBA Code of Conduct. We request that our business partners understand the spirit of this policy, reflect it in their activities, and encourage their own business partners to do the same.
We request our business partners to comply with the laws and social norms applicable in the countries and territories in which they do business, as well as the RBA Code of Conduct. Please ensure to take a particularly rigorous approach to the following.
The Fujikin Carp Group deems initiatives concerning the responsible procurement of minerals to be part of its social responsibility, and implements initiatives to eliminate the use of raw materials that use 3TG*, cobalt, or any other substance mined or extracted through illegitimate means, as well as the use of parts, components, or materials that include such substances. To achieve this, we implement initiatives in line with the OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas. We request our business partners to ensure they have an understanding of the situation surrounding mineral procurement, and that they cooperate in responsible mineral procurement surveys.
*3TG: Tantalum, tin, tungsten, gold
In accordance with the Fujikin Carp Group’s Green Procurement Guidelines, our business partners must put in place an ISO 14001-compliant system for environmental conservation while also working to identify and reduce the harmful substances in the materials that they supply.
We request our business partners to strive to ensure that the components and materials they use and the production activities they undertake have a low environmental impact, with proactive consideration given to environmental conservation, resource saving, and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, and also to work toward the protection of biodiversity and forest conservation.
We request our business partners to pay meticulous attention to detail from the design and development stages, implement thorough change management, and establish, maintain, and improve a quality assurance system to provide products and services that meet the high quality standards demanded by the Fujikin Carp Group.
We request our business partners to provide products and services at competitive and appropriate prices and implement ongoing cost-reduction initiatives.
Proposals should be offered at a reasonable and well-founded price, and the transaction price should include a fair profit margin and enable improvements in working conditions.
We request our business partners to ensure a reliable supply of products in compliance with delivery schedules, provide prompt services and to establish a system for a stable and flexible supply of products and services with the capability to deal with sudden and drastic changes in demand. Furthermore, in order to deal with natural disasters and other unforeseen events, we request our business partners to take preemptive measures, establish emergency response systems, and take other such actions to mitigate supply risks.
We request our business partners to strengthen their technology proposal capabilities so that they can leverage their expertise from the product development stage and proactively provide information on technology, manufacturing methods, and related areas.
We request our business partners to establish a management structure and implement ongoing improvement activities in accordance with the general agreement, individual contracts, and other agreements and arrangements entered into with the Fujikin Carp Group.
We request our business partners to ensure sound and stable corporate management so that together we can increase added value across the entire supply chain, foster collaboration that goes beyond conventional business boundaries and scales, and build a mutually prosperous and lasting partnership.
We may periodically request our business partners to submit financial statements and other relevant information. We ask for their cooperation should such a request be made.
We request our business partners to appropriately manage and protect any confidential or personal information that they acquire in the course of their dealings with the Fujikin Carp Group.
We also request that our business partners comply with all applicable laws, regulations, norms, and contractual obligations regarding information security, and implement measures to minimize the impact of any unauthorized access, loss, destruction, tampering, or leakage of information assets. Should any such issue occur, our business partners are expected to respond appropriately and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
In order to minimize losses of business assets and continue or rapidly restore core businesses in the event of an emergency, such as a natural disaster, major fire, or terrorist attack, we request our business partners to establish a system that defines activities to be carried out under normal circumstances and the means of ensuring business continuity in emergencies.
Thorough change management is absolutely essential to preemptively identify the risk of defects arising from changes and put in place measures to prevent them from materializing. What manufacturers consider an improvement may be perceived as a deterioration by customers. We therefore request our business partners to ensure thorough CC (Change Control) and adhere to CE (Copy Exactly) as standard practice, and in the event that a change is necessary, submit an application in accordance with the designated change procedures.
As End-of-Life (EOL) can significantly impact business continuity, we request our business partners to establish a system that proactively tracks advance notices and issues alerts, and to share relevant details as soon as information becomes available.
