Lecture 2
"The thoughts of Kukai - From nature to the political world," by Professor Yasutoshi Murakami, Emeritus Professor at Koyasan University​.
Lecture 3
"Things that can and cannot be seen," by his Eminence Yukei Matsunaga, Emeritus Professor at Koyasan University/Former head priest at Koyasan Kongobu-ji.

A look at the lecture

Koyasan held the "Koyasan University and Fujikin Shuhei Ogawa Commemorative Lecture" at the Osaka International Convention Center in Nakanoshima,Osaka, on August 29th, from 1 pm. Around 500 people attended the lecture and all seats were occupied. Before the opening of the lecture, there was a greeting from Koyasan University's President, Mitsuhiro Fujita. He explained the progress of the current establishment of an endowed chair and talked on the topic of "The desire for providence in the universe from the perspectives of science and religion." There was a presentation on the thoughts of university initiatives.

Afterwards, three professors gave speeches. First was Professor Yoshio Nishi, professor at Stanford University and chairman of the System Research Alliance, who gave a lecture on "Semiconductors - The manufacturing world of atoms." The audience listened enthusiastically to his ideas, backed by a wealth of achievements and experience. Next was Professor Yasutoshi Murakami, Emeritus Professor at Koyasan University, who gave a lecture on "The thoughts of Kukai - From nature to the the political world." He discussed nature and the connection between the teachings of Buddhism and science and technology. The teachings were easy to understand and occasionally humorous. To conclude, Emeritus Professor at Koyasan University and former head priest at Koyasan Kongobu-ji, his Eminence Yukei Matsunaga, took to the stage. The lecture hall became one as everyone listened attentively to the contents of his harmonious lecture.
