Code of Conduct

1.Sound Work Environment

1-1 Respect for Basic Human Rights

  1. We will respect basic human rights under any circumstances.
  2. We will not engage in or tolerate discrimination on the grounds of nationality, origin, race, ethnicity, religion, gender, ideology, age, physical characteristics, sexual orientation, employment status or contract type.
  3. We will not engage in or tolerate inhumane acts such as forced labor, child labor and slavery.

1-2 Fair Working Environment

  1. We will work in compliance with the labor laws of each country and region, as well as employment regulations and contracts.
  2. We will always watch out for health hazards to ourselves and our work colleagues and strive to stay physically and mentally healthy.

1-3 Prohibition of Harassment

  1. We will not harass anyone or act in a way in which the other party may feel harassed.
  2. We will strive to maintain an open working environment free of harassment.

1-4 Occupational health and safety

  1. We will all take an interest in the workplace environment and strive to improve it.
  2. We will not engage in work nor force others to do so if safety is not ensured.
  3. We will strive to prevent disasters and accidents in order to protect our safety, health, lives and property.

2.Honest Corporate Activities

2-1 Provision of Products and Services with Assured Quality and Safety

  1. We will provide products and services with the quality and ease of use that meet the needs of our customers.
  2. We will provide products and services that are safe, reliable, and environmentally friendly.

2-2 Compliance with Anti-monopoly and Competition Laws

  1. We will comply with the anti-monopoly and competition laws of each country and region and will always compete and trade fairly.
  2. We will not participate in cartels or bid rigging and will strictly refrain from exchanging important information or making unnecessary contacts with our competitors.

2-3 Fair Relationship with Suppliers

  1. We will comply with laws and regulations and company regulations concerning procurement transactions.
  2. We will evaluate and select suppliers fairly.
  3. We will not make unreasonable demands to our suppliers.

2-4 Appropriate Advertisements and Product Descriptions

  1. We will ensure appropriate advertisements and product descriptions so that our customers can make informed assessments and decisions in relation to our products.
  2. We will strive to maintain the environment in which customers are able to choose products and services best for them.

2-5 Compliance with Tax Laws and Accounting Standards

  1. We will conduct financial and accounting procedures in accordance with the applicable tax laws and accounting standards.
  2. We will not engage in fraudulent accounting or window-dressing (including recording of fictitious sales, expense padding, and falsification of vouchers).

2-6 Timely and Appropriate Recording and Disclosure of Information

  1. We will accurately record business-related information.
  2. We will disclose information on our business, social contribution and other relevant activities in a timely and appropriate manner.

2-7 Prohibition of Inappropriate Entertainment and Gifts

  1. We will not provide inappropriate entertainment or gifts to business partners, including customers.
  2. We will not accept inappropriate entertainment or gifts from business partners, including suppliers.

2-8 Prohibition of Bribery of Public Officials

  1. We will not offer or promise any money or other benefits to a public official in order to gain any wrongful business benefits.

2-9 Compliance with Trade-Related Laws and Regulations

  1. We will comply with the import and export laws and international treaties of the countries and regions in which we operate and will conduct appropriate import and export procedures.

2-10 Compliance with Local Laws and Regulations Overseas and respect for Local Culture and Customs

  1. We will comply with the laws and regulations of the countries and regions in which we operate.
  2. We will understand and respect the culture, history and customs of the countries and regions in which we operate.

2-11 Prohibition of Unfaithful Acts

  1. We will carry out our duties in good faith and will not act in any way that will cause damage to the reputation or credibility of the Company or run counter to the interests of the Company.
  2. We will make a clear distinction between public and private affairs and will not engage in non-work-related personal activities at work.

2-12 Use of Social Media

  1. We will not access social media for private use from company-rented or personal mobile devices, etc. during work.
  2. We will not post the Company's confidential information or information about a business client, etc. on social media.

3.Preservation of Company Assets

3-1 Management of Personal Information

  1. We will manage personal information in an appropriate manner in accordance with the laws and regulations of each country and region and company regulations on protection of personal information.
  2. We will appropriately handle personal information only for the specified purpose of use.
  3. We will not take out of the Company’s premises or leak personal information without permission.

3-2 Protection and Use of Intellectual Property Rights

  1. We will understand the value of intellectual property and make use of it properly.
  2. We will promptly notify the Company of any intellectual property created.
  3. We will respect the intellectual property of others.

3-3 Management of Corporate Information and Appropriate Use of IT

  1. We will properly manage information possessed by the Company in accordance with the company regulations.
  2. We will comply with the company regulations concerning information security and endeavor to act with security awareness in order to prevent both inadvertent and intentional leakage of confidential information constituting part of the Company’s important assets.

4.Relationship with Society

4-1 Environmental Conservation Initiatives

  1. We will contribute to the realization of a low-carbon society through our business.
  2. We will abide by environmental laws and regulations.
  3. We will strive, in all our business activities, to reduce the impact they have on the environment.
  4. We will also make personal efforts even in our daily life to promote environmental protection.

4-2 Social Contributions and Appropriate Donations

  1. We will contribute to society through our business activities and coexist with local communities.
  2. When making donations, we will comply with the laws and regulations of each country and region and the company regulations.

4-3 Severance of Connections with Anti-social Forces

  1. We will never get involved with anti-social forces or other organized criminals, nor their criminal activities.
  2. We will make sure to investigate and confirm that the counterparty to the intended transaction is not an anti-social force or any other organized criminal before executing the transaction.
